Sample Introduction
Eclipse Purge-and-Trap Sample Concentrator - The Gold Standard In Volatiles Analysis The Eclipse 4660 Purge-and-Trap Sample Concentrator processes samples for analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by gas chromatography (GC) or gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Innovative, patented components within the Eclipse significantly improve sample processing steps of the purge-and-trap technique. A key technology is the built-in Cyclone Water Management system that removes water during the thermal desorb step. |

The high efficiency of water removal allows analysis of polar compounds such as alcohols, ethers, and ketones without interference from water. Degradation of chromatographic columns and maintenance of the GC or GC/MS are also minimized. Following modules can be configured with Eclipse 4660 Purge-and-Trap system The Model 4551A Purge-and-Trap Water Autosampler : achieves results by automating VOC analysis of up to 51 samples. The Model 4552 Water/Soil Autosampler ((USEPA Method 5035 compliant ) : Get precise, accurate purge-and-trap analysis results from a variety of sample types with the Model 4552, the most flexible and reliable autosampler available. The Eclipse Air-Tube Desorber (Complies with USEPA Compendium Air-Tube methodology ) accessory provides an economical means of diversifying into air toxics analysis using the Eclipse 4660 Purge-and-Trap Sample Concentrator. |

Master TD 4750 Thermal Desorber The Master TD 4750 Thermal Desorber automates all steps involved with processing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and semi-volatile compounds (up to C44) collected in air sampling devices for GC/GC-MS analysis. A built-in 50-position autosampler supports unattended operation with industry standard (1/4" O.D. x 3.5" long) stainless steel and glass sorbent tubes, and Radiello® air sampling cartridges. Two-stage thermal desorption process focuses VOCs on a trap for high sensitivity GC/GC-MS analysis. Peltier cooling of sorbent trap (to – 40 °C) focuses extremely volatile compounds, (e.g., chlorofluorocarbons [CFCs] |
